Why an old message has no text#

A submission can have a status record without retained message content. Message text may be unavailable if it predates history activation, has expired, or belongs to a failed or uncertain attempt. Activating an account does not restore every old draft.

Some recent website sends can be recovered when you activate afterward in the same browser tab within 24 hours. That recovery is limited; keep using the same signed-in account and do not assume all earlier messages will reappear.

Read and answer a business reply#

A signed-in message delivered to a verified business account can become a private conversation. The business starts the exchange; you can then reply. Optional history enrollment is not required for a business to reply to an existing direct account thread. Ordinary replies to an email are not imported.

Your account name and email are not shown to the business. Replies are sent exactly as reviewed, without the initial message’s automatic privacy editing. Leave out identifying details you do not want to share.

Control the conversation#

Your dashboard offers controls to stop further replies, hide a conversation, report a concern, export retained history, and explicitly erase retained content. Hiding and erasing are different. Read the confirmation carefully because erasing shared content affects both sides.
