How the conversation starts#

A customer sends while signed in, and the message is delivered to a verified business’s Nastygram inbox. The business sends the first reply. The customer can then answer inside the same thread. Both sides use their own signed-in account; Nastygram does not give the business the customer’s account name or email.

Replies are included for verified businesses during the current pilot, subject to the conversation being eligible. A customer does not need to enable optional history before a business can reply to an existing direct account conversation.

Business: send the first reply#

  1. Open your business dashboard and select the correct verified location.
  2. Under Feedback & follow-through, open a message. Read the original feedback and any reason replies are unavailable.
  3. Write a response that acknowledges the experience and describes a real next step.
  4. Choose Review reply, check the exact text, then Confirm & send reply.

Thank you for telling us about the wait. We’re checking what happened during that shift. Was the delay before ordering or after you asked for the bill? Please leave out names or reservation details.

Customer: read and answer#

Replies stay in the account conversation. Replying to a notification or an ordinary feedback email does not add a message to this thread. Check your dashboard for responses; do not assume you will receive an email alert for each reply.

  1. Sign in to My nastygrams with the same ChatGPT account you used to send.
  2. Open the original Nastygram in Your nastygrams & conversations. Use Unread to find new business responses.
  3. After the business replies, write your answer, review it, and confirm sending.

Keep control of what you share#

Replies are sent exactly as reviewed. They do not go through the initial feedback’s automatic privacy-editing flow. Leave out identifying details, payment information, and anything you do not want the other side to read.

A business can describe a remedy or share an existing offer in its reply. Nastygram does not issue refunds, create coupons, process compensation, or guarantee the business will deliver a promised remedy. A customer may choose whether to follow up; a public review must remain their choice.

Drafts and uncertain sends#

The website keeps a reply draft in the current browser tab so a reload can recover it. This is not cross-device draft sync; ending the tab session or signing out can clear it. Replies have a 3,000-character limit.

If a send result is uncertain, use Retry this reply in the same conversation. It checks or retries the original exact request. Do not paste it into a new reply and send again. If the dashboard cannot safely preserve recovery information, it blocks sending and explains why.

Why replies might be unavailable#

Use the explanation shown on the conversation. Do not resend the original feedback simply to test whether a reply becomes available.

  • The original message went by email instead of to a business account. A later inbox claim does not convert historical email into a chat.
  • The sender submitted through an unlinked email identity, so there is no verified customer account to reply to.
  • The business has not verified its inbox or no longer has reply access.
  • The customer has stopped replies, the content has expired or been erased, or the message is not in an accepted state.
  • The business has not sent the first reply yet, or the thread has reached its limit of 100 replies in total.

Read, resolve, mute or report#

  • Mark as read clears your unread indicator for the activity you viewed; simply opening a conversation does not mark it read.
  • A business can set Open, In progress or Resolved. Marking resolved tracks work; it does not end the chat, prove satisfaction, or count as a reply.
  • A customer can Stop restaurant replies and later Allow restaurant replies.
  • Either side can Report a concern. A report is recorded for review; it does not immediately remove content.

Work from ChatGPT#

With the connection available, ask for your authorized conversations or a draft. Sending requires approval of the exact reply and thread. A request to read or draft is not permission to send, mark read, or resolve.
